“Time Bandits” (1981) is a British fantasy film directed by Terry Gilliam and co-written by Gilliam and Michael Palin. The film stars Craig Warnock, Sean Connery, John Cleese, Shelley Duvall, and David Warner.
The film follows a young boy named Kevin (Craig Warnock) who is dissatisfied with his mundane life. His world is turned upside down when a group of time-traveling dwarves, who have stolen a map of the universe from the Supreme Being, appear in his bedroom.The dwarves are on a quest to steal treasure from various historical periods, and Kevin becomes inadvertently involved in their adventures. Together, they travel through different eras, encountering famous historical figures and mythological creatures, all while being pursud by the evil force known as Evil (David Warner).
